You know the mom that makes the older boys roll their eyes because it isn't cool to get their picture taken, but she can get them to stand still long enough to smile and get the shot? Then she hangs around long enough to catch them being goofy with their friends when they don't even realize anyone has a camera pointed in their direction.
And the awkward girls in their formal dresses who don't know where to stand, snap to attention when she coordinates them into place. She also ALWAYS seems to have her camera and catches those spur of the moment priceless shots that leave most people thing "I wish I had my camera with me." And like some kind of magic, she can take action shots in a gym and not them turn out blurry or yellow. Somehow even cryings babies seem to smile sweetly at her camera.
Well, that mom is me. My photography started as a hobby taking pictures at my kids' events. It involved into taking pictures for friends and the newspaper and then to getting formal training for studio photography. I love the experience and challenge of preserving memories in photographs. My goal is to capture individuals with their unique personalities, interests and skills in the moment it happens; whether it be the thrill of dunking a basketball, the tenderness of loving a newborn, the anticipation of an engagement, or the pride of getting ready to graduate, I can dedicate the moment to a visual image.
I'm the Office Manager!
My children had the honor of being the first babies Julie professionally photographed. We quickly developed a friendship and I have been working with her since April 2015. I help her with all things office related! I really enjoy watching the memories that Julie can create through her photography. We love to have fun here in the studio and want to share that with all our clients!
My youngest girls, affectionately known as the twins, enjoy helping in the the studio while the older two are in school. Their favorite activity is sorting the candy drawer.
I have four children and my Husband, Adam and I own and operate the Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary. In our free time we enjoy riding motorcycles and attending our children's never ending activities.
I do a little bit of everything!
Julie captured family pictures along with helping us through the senior picture process. I started working after taking my son's senior pictures. I enjoy meeting new people at the studio and watching families grow from wedding pictures to their babies first photo shoot.
Jerrod, my husband and I reside in Smith Center and have three boys. I enjoy the outdoors, animals and spending time with my family and friends
